Tracie Schimikowsky, Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce Executive Director/CEO, received the Accredited Chamber Executive award from the Western Association of Chamber Executives at its annual conference Feb. 7 in Los Angeles.

Special to the Review

Chino Valley Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director/CEO Tracie Schimikowsky has received recognition as an Accredited Chamber Executive (ACE) Feb. 7 by the Western Association of Chamber Executives (WACE).

The association awards the designation to only those chamber executives who meet stringent criteria set by the association's board of directors.

Schimikowsky was one of three chamber of commerce executives awarded accreditation this year at the association's annual conference in Los Angeles.

The association gave its first accreditation program award in 1993 to encourage chamber executives to upgrade and expand their skills through continuing education and training programs in the chamber management and business fields. A total of 43 ACE recipients currently are active in chambers of commerce in the West.

ACE recipients must apply for re-accreditation every five years to retain the designation.

WACE is an association of about 850 chamber executives and staff professionals with members in 18 Western states and Canada. The association's mission is to promote and enhance the professional development of chamber of commerce executives.
