Butter Toffee Cookies a treat for kids big and little
Walnut Butter Toffee Cookies
½ cup butter or margarine

½ cup granulated sugar

½ cup brown sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup walnut butter (found in natural food stores)

1 ½ cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup crushed walnuts

½ bag of Heath English Toffee Bits

Thoroughly cream butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla. Stir in walnut butter, mix dry ingredients together and stir into creamed mixture. Fold in walnuts and toffee bits. Drop by rounded teaspoons on greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees about 10 minutes. After cooling, top cookies with (store bought) whipped butter cream frosting.

Cookies are always a welcome treat at our house, enjoyed by little kids and big kids (like my husband). This was a new recipe I tried, but everyone loved them, and it didn't take long for them to disappear.
