The Cougars hosted the Bears of Bradshaw Mountain High School on Thursday, falling 17-55 and recording loss number six for the year.

This was the first home game under new coach Bill McKnight, who took over when James Acton resigned on Dec. 5.

McKnight said he hopes this past weeks practice and conditioning will help his crew gear up for play following the holiday break.

"We did not play very well tonight, that's for sure," said McKnight. "But we're going to work hard over the break, concentrate on the basics and getting in shape. We know we have some work to do, but we'll be a much different team in January."

The 0-6 Cougars will face BMHS on the road for a rematch on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m.
